basic human security for conflict or disaster struck populations.
Security and Justice Development - Prioritising security and justice is a significant challenge in
post-conflict and fragile environments. Security and justice development aims to introduce professional
standards to the justice sector and law-enforcement agencies and strengthen accountability between
people and the state.
Migration and Displacement - Research into the processes and reasoning behind human migration
and displacement, and the dynamics between displaced people and host communities, is key
to accommodating the needs of both groups. Holistic interventions prevent instability and enhance the
positive social and economic opportunities presented.
Corporate Social Responsibility - Ensuring that the private sector has a positive impact on communities,
employees and consumers is especially important in geographies where the economy is fragile and basic
governance, the rule of law and accountability mechanisms are lacking or limited.
Civil Society Development - Strong and vibrant civil society organisations are vital for the healthy
development of countries and are key in providing people with the power and voice to affect
change at all levels of society.
Natural Resource Management - In countries where natural resources play an outsized role in the economy
we work with the private sector, government and civil society to ensure resources are used responsibility
and benefits positively impact local communities and institutions.
